UPDATE: What has little Miss Connie been up to?

I have posted previously how Connie made changes to our dining room by adding cigar related items. Well, she's been at it again and I wanted to show a little of her work. The most recent addition was new coverings for the dining room chair seats. She got the idea from a cigar theme seat covering she saw at The Maduro Room. The pattern she decided to go with is one of cigar labels. She found the fabric online and had a professional upholster do the work. He did a great job. He was so meticulous that every chair seat has the exact same pattern orientation. By that I mean the same cigar bands are in the same location on each seat!

Then on a recent trip to The Maduro Room she had a little too much time on her hands and started "thinking" again. She noticed a lot of nice empty cigar boxes laying around the shop and asked Grady if she could have some for an arrangement she wanted to make. Grady said yes and Connie picked up several of the prettier ones. She made an arrangement of the boxes on the middle of the dining room table.

The wallpaper started the whole transformation a year or so ago. You can see it in this picture. It runs from the chair rail to the floor.

In between all these changes she added a cigar print she found online and a picture that I took on our most recent cruise. The picture shows me holding a Bolivar Royal Corona in my hand with the beautiful blue waters of the Barbados coast in the background. It really is a great pic and I can instantly transport myself to the exact spot where the picture was taken.

The wallpaper really stands out and looks nice.

And I can't forget the end table humidor that she gave me for my birthday several years ago.

Yep, Connie has been busy. Our dining room is pretty much "the cigar room" now. I have no complaints! I might add that all of this was 100% her idea! I only helped with a little trimming of the wallpaper. Other than that she did everything! Thank you for your hard work Connie! I love you!
