Lianos Dos Palmas maduro torpedo

Lianos Dos Palmas maduro torpedo (5 7/8 x 52)

This cigar has a Connecticut Broadleaf maduro wrapper. Lianos Dos Palmas is a small cigar shop in Charleston, South Carolina. I first learned of this shop several years ago on one of our trips to Charleston. The owner, Scott Aron, is a great guy and is always ready to help when you walk into his shop. His brother in law rolls all the cigars right there in the shop. You can walk in and watch him roll cigars all day long.

Video review.

The cigar had an effortless draw. The cigar felt a little light. It started with dark coffee notes with an underlying grapefruit citrus and nice pepper. The finish was long with semi-sweet grapefruit citrus notes.

At the 1/3 point the sweet grapefruit notes are really popping! The pepper has greatly increased. The finish is a sweet grapefruit citrus with lingering pepper.

At the midpoint the coffee notes have given way to the sweet, rich grapefruit citrus. They are secondary now. The citrus has some underlying vanilla notes.

In the final stages the cigar remained a sweet grapefruit citrus with underlying black coffee and nice black pepper. Nice, sweet grapefruit citrus finish with lingering black pepper. Good cigar.

You can buy these in their Charleston, SC shop. They are located at 55 1/2 Wentworth Street, or you can get them online at http://www.havacigar.com/.
