The cigar has a very light brown wrapper and has a pretty nice feel in the hand.

After I cut the cap the test draw was very good. The initial flavors were citrus and white chocolate. The flavors are very sweet. The citrus is sort of an orange citrus. The pepper is a black pepper rated at an 8. The cigar comes across as mild to medium at the outset. I have found that with Connecticut shade cigars you need to smoke them very slowly or they tend to get bitter.

About one inch in the only thing that has changed is there are now brown sugar notes. There is just enough orange flavor to call it an orange citrus. The white chocolate is very think and pasty, The finish is a sweet cream with a lot of lingering black pepper. I am a huge fan of lingering pepper, no matter what type!

1 1/2 inches in the cigar is burning almost perfect! Look at that burn line. There is a bit of earthiness at the lower level. The other flavors are still intact. The earthiness gives the cigar depth.

I have removed the lower band. There are some dry toast notes just above the earth notes. Other than that the other flavors are about the same. The cigar is medium bodied now and I don't expect it to move upward. The black pepper remains nice on both ends. The cigar continues to burn very evenly.

The cigar ended consistently from the last segment. The white chocolate is the star on the front end and the lingering black pepper is the star on the back end. These are a limited edition cigar so get them while you can. This cigar had typical Perdomo Connecticut flavors and the white chocolate was nice and thick tasting. Very good cigar.

Score: 92

Thanks for all of your good reviews.

I have bought alot of cigars after watching these. However I think I have made my first mistake.... this small batch is my first perdomo I dont like.. yet. too hiped?

I´m a big Perdomo fan and was excited when my 3 boxes with these arrived. Having alot of boxes with the Double aged because I like it, I thought this was a bargain. My first three cigars has acted the same. They seem to be dry. Burns easy. Very light draw. Almost too light. Unbalanced flavours attacking the tounge all over. Through the nose it gives me tears in my eyes becuase of the amonia. The fourth cigar I gave to a friend and that had another profile. That was a cigar to enjoy. but I only had two puffs of it.

I have never smoked a Cuban cigar that is unbalanced like many of the non Cubans are. even if they claim to have 4-15 years old tobacco.

I hope that I have been unlucky with my first three ones. If not I will have alot of cigars I dont want to spend any time with

Sorry to hear about your bad experience. Not sure what to say except it sounds like they need to sit awhile, which should not be the case. These are well aged but with the mention of ammonia that tells me they need some time to sit. I did not have this experience but with cigars it is possible. Give them a little more time and see what happens.

I am pretty new to cigars, only been smoking them about six months, & I have gotten hooked pretty quickly. I brought one of these with a bunch of others, not really paying attention to what I paid for it or the "2005" on the label. This is by far the best cigar I have ever smoked (for what it is worth). It seems like a special occasion type cigar but I will be heading back for more. So far I like all the Perdomo cigars, but this one was a mile above anything I have tried so far.

IMHO, Perdomo makes some great cigars. If you like the Connecticut version of this cigar you might want to also try the Sun Grown version. While I thought the Connecticut was very good I thought the Sun Grown was even better! But, everyone's different. The pricepoint is the same for both versions so give them a try. Glad to hear you liked this cigar though. The fun of cigars is being able to try so many different ones!
