Black Works Studio (BLK WKS) is pleased to announce the release of TIGERSAURUS; hand crafted at Fabrica Oveja Negra in Esteli, Nicaragua.
TIGERSAURUS is a new Limited Edition that will begin shipping to select retailers next week.
“Over the past decade, the Tiger Series has helped define what Black Works Studio cigars are all about. To celebrate the ten-year anniversary, we’re introducing our first limited Tiger release. The Tigers began as factory-exclusive cigars in Nicaragua and later became event-only.
The Tigersaurus represents a bigger, bolder interpretation of the Tiger. It features wrappers of PA Broadleaf, Connecticut Broadleaf, and Candela, with Nicaraguan filler tobaccos. The profile is intense and complex, layering dark, rich earthy notes with bright, clean spice on the finish.
As with all Tigers, the Tigersaurus highlights the artisanal craftsmanship of cigar making and showcases the skilled rollers at Fabrica Oveja Negra," says James Brown, creator of BLTC and partner at Fabrica Oveja Negra.

These cigars are an expression of art showcasing the talent, technique and tobacco of our boutique cigar factory, Fabrica Oveja Negra.
The cigar is beautiful. The wrapper has 3 different wrappers giving it 3 different colors. The foot is closed. The cigar has an average feel in the hand.
The test draw after cutting the cap was tight but that's due to the foot being closed. The draw opened up nicely after light up. The initial flavors at light up were sweet peach, brown sugar, cinnamon, cocoa, and black coffee. There is some richness in the peach that is very nice. There was black pepper rated at 7 1/2. Excellent start.
At the first third (20 minutes) all the notes are working well together and there is still richness which is thick. The cigar is medium bodied. The finish is peach with some underlying black coffee and very good lingering black pepper. This is a very good cigar. It reminds me of the old school Black Works Studio cigars. I rated the first third 96.
As I moved through the second third (40 minutes) the black coffee rose and some of the richness pulled back. But it didn't seem to hurt the cigar. It's still very good. The cigar is medium to full bodied. The finish is peach and a little more black coffee with very good lingering black pepper. I held the score of 96.
The cigar lasted 1 hour 5 minutes. The black coffee stayed at it's elevated level and the peach notes are somewhat faint. There is a lot of brown sugar, cocoa, and black coffee. I did not have the cinnamon notes any more. The cigar is medium to full bodied. The finish is unchanged. I rated the final third 95. This is an excellent cigar from Black Works Studio. Well worth the $19 price tag. Look for these and treat yourself.
