Ty Rollins named to Who's who among students at American Universities and Colleges!

Ty with Newberry College president, Mitchell M. Zais

Newberry College had their ceremony to honor the newest members of Who's who among students at American Universities and Colleges yesterday, and Ty was one of the students named as receiving the award! He was quite excited. He knew that he had been nominated, and had made the "short list", but did not know until yesterday that he had won. Connie and I received a letter from the school 2 weeks ago notifying us that Ty had won, but wanted us to keep it a secret until the ceremony. Of course we did! The purpose of the letter was to make us aware of his winning the award so that we could make arrangements to be present at the awards ceremony.

This was an award that Ty wanted to win. He had it on his "list of things I want to accomplish in college" since he enrolled at Newberry College. I suspect that most things on his list have been checked off by now; he's quite a talented young man. He'll do quite well in the business world!

Congrat's Ty!!!!

Cruise adventure; part two!

After visiting the Graycliff factory, we headed back to the boat to change into our bathing suits. Then, on to the private island for a little fun!

Of course, there IS formal night on the boat:

In the Sport's Bar on board the ship

(l-r) Jim Massengale, a friend of ours who went on the trip with us; Peter, German gentleman who enjoyed cigars; and yours truely:

Connie loved lounging on the sun deck:

After the cruise, we headed to St. Augustine, where we met up with Tony (SuperT) and Doyle (Dpuck) at Stogies Jazz Club:

We were in St. Augustine 2 nights, so on the second night we met Doyle's lovely wife:

Of course, we hit the beach while in St. Augustine:

After St. Augustine, we met up with Bill (bildo792) in Bluffton, SC; near Hilton Head Island:

As you can see, a great time was had by all! We're already planning for the next big adventure scheduled for September, 2006! We'll be staying at the Cancun Palace; and all-inclusive resort in Cancun, Mexico! I hope the hurricanes cooperate with us and STAY AWAY!!!!

Bahamas cruise/Big cigar time!!!

We managed to miss most of Wilma when we left on our cruise on October 23rd, and went on to have a big time in the Bahamas! I must have averaged 5 cigars a day! We visited the Graycliff factory in Nassau, too! After the cruise, we stopped off in St. Augustine for 2 nights where we met up with a couple "internet cigar buddies"! I've got too many pics to post here, but here are a few of the good ones!

Here we are with some people that we met at our dinner table each night. We're in the Sport's Bar on board the Fantasy:
