El Oso Belicoso by Warped Cigars (6 x 48)

Video review HERE.

(description taken from Cigar-Coop.com website)
El Oso by Warped Cigars came out in 2014. To make the El Oso cigar, Gellis turned to the Sandy Cobas’ El Titan de Bronze factory located in Little Havana, Florida. Given that Gellis is based in Florida, the close proximately, it easily allowed him to have an integral role in this cigar.

El Oso translates to “The Bear”.  The cigar is rolled by level 9 Cuban rollers at El Titan de Bronze and employ traditional Cuban rolling techniques, such as Entubado style.  This is where each leaf is individually rolled, then bunched.

El Oso features a three country blend with an Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro wrapper.

Wrapper: Ecuadorian Habano Oscuro
Binder: Ecuadorian
Filler: Nicaraguan and Dominican

Available in 3 sizes:
"Papa" Belicoso, 6 x 48 (REVIEWED TODAY)
"Mama", 7 x 38
"Cub", 4 x 44

The cigar is a dark brown and very well made. Here is a shot of the foot.

The test draw after cutting the cap was good. The initial flavors were sweet cedar, boysenberry, dark chocolate, butter, and espresso, along with black pepper rated at an 8. There are a lot of flavors coming at you at light up.

About 1 1/2 inches in the flavors are like they were initially but they are all elevated; more sweet cedar, boysenberry, butter, dark chocolate. The cigar is medium bodied at this point. The finish is one of cocoa and cream with some nice lingering black pepper. This is starting off to be another good cigar from Warped Cigars.

At the midpoint the boysenberry notes are gone but there is now some cocoa in it's place. Everything else is about the same. The cigar is now medium to bull bodied. There are a lot of dark notes. This is a good dark noted cigar. A lot of chocolate notes are coming through.

The cigar ended with the chocolate notes dominating. The other notes are still in play. The cigar hit full bodied somewhere after the midpoint. The finish is about the same. The pepper remained very good throughout and the cigar burned very evenly. I found this to be the best of the three Warped Cigars I reviewed. If you are fond of another offering from Warped Cigars let me know and I'll check it out. This is a very good dark noted cigar with plenty of sweetness.
