For the fifth year in a row, Room101 Cigars will release an anniversary cigar. This year, that cigar is Room101 14th Anniversary. It’s a limited edition cigar that made its debut at the 2023 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show in July 2023.
As with previous installments, the Room101 14th Anniversary is produced by AJ Fernandez. The cigar is a Nicaraguan puro where all of the tobaccos are sourced from farms of AJ Fernandez. It comes in one size – a 6 x 52 Toro. The cigars are presented in 20-count boxes. Pricing is set at $13.99 per cigar.
“With this blend, we’re not only celebrating 14 years of being in market with Room101 cigars but we’re also continuing our Anniversary series collaboration with AJ Fernandez. This year’s release will be killer because we took some amazing Nicaraguan tobaccos and created another annual installment that celebrates perseverance and progress in our beloved craft space,” commented Matt Booth, founder of Room101 Cigars in a press release.
The Room101 Anniversary series made its debut in 2019 with the Room101 10th Anniversary limited edition. Each subsequent anniversary has seen a new annual limited edition.
Room101 Cigars are distributed by Forged Cigar Company.

The cigar is dark and well made. It has a nice feel in the hand.
The test draw after cutting the cap was good. The initial flavors at light up were citrus, citrus peel, brown sugar, underlying pear, and leathery black coffee. There was black pepper rated at 7 1/2. Nice start.
At the first third (18 minutes) I had the same basic notes; citrus, citrus peel, light pear, and leathery black coffee but now there's toffee in the mix. At this point the sweeter notes outweigh the coffee notes. The cigar is medium bodied. The finish is toffee and light leather with very good lingering black pepper. The cigar is very nice at this point. I rated the first third 94.
Moving through the second third (36 minutes) the citrus and pear notes are faint and the toffee is light while the citrus peel and leathery black coffee are up. The cigar is medium bodied. The finish is light toffee, citrus peel, and light leather with very good lingering black pepper. I rated the second third 92.
The cigar lasted 54 minutes. A rather short burn time for a toro. The citrus increased slightly making the cigar a little better. There's still quite a bit of citrus peel. The toffee notes are very faint. The leather black coffee is still intense. The cigar is medium to full bodied. The finish is faint citrus peel and light leather with very good lingering black pepper. I rated the final third 93. This is a good cigar but not as good as last year's version. And, the burn time of this cigar is very low compared to most toros.
