Nomad Signature made its debut at the 2016 IPCPR Trade Show. At the time, Rewey released it to a limited number of retailers in order to beat the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA)’s August 8, 2016 deadline for pre-market approval. Last year, Rewey opted to showcase Fin de los Mundos, another line that had a limited release in 2016.

The cigar is a golden brown and well made. It has an average feel in the hand.

The test draw after cutting the cap was a bit firm but I decided to give it a try. The initial flavors at light up were sweet orange citrus with low levels of peach, brown sugar, cinnamon, quite a bit of nutmeg, lightly roasted almond, and lots of earthy black coffee. There was a white pepper which I rated at a 6 1/2 to 7.




At the first third (22 minutes) I lost some of the initial flavors. I no longer have the peach flavors. There are still flavors of orange citrus, brown sugar, and cinnamon with hints of lightly roasted almonds but there are a lot of nutmeg and earthy black coffee. These darker flavors take away a lot of sweetness from the front end. The finish is a toasted almond with decent lingering black pepper. (The pepper seems to be changing over to a black) The cigar is medium bodied. The first third is rated at an 88.




At the second third (49 minutes) I got a new flavor; spiced apple. It goes along with the orange citrus. You still have brown sugar and a decent amount of cinnamon. But, there are still massive amounts of nutmeg and earthy black coffee. A faint lightly roasted almond bridges the sweet flavors with the darker ones. The cigar is still medium bodied which surprises me. The finish is unchanged. The darker flavors are taking away the sweetness. The second third score is 87. 




The cigar lasted 1 hour 13 minutes. A little short for a toro. I still had some citrus and spiced apple but they were faint. The brown sugar was also decreased. The cinnamon remained decent. There were hints of lightly roasted almonds. The nutmeg and earth black coffee were still quite high. The cigar may have touched medium to full bodied in the final stages. The finish had hints of citrus to go along with the lightly roasted almonds. The lingering pepper was still pretty good. The cigar's sweetness continued to slowly slide downhill. This cigar missed the mark with me but decide for yourself based on the flavors I described. The final third is rated at an 86.
