Much cooler Sunday but a little overcast. Nice change from the upper 90's and 100's we've been experiencing! I reviewed 2 cigars this weekend. They are:
- Joya de Nicaragua Antano' Robusto Grande
- Xikar HC Connecticut Robusto

Joya de Nicaragua Antano' Robusto Grande (5 1/2x52)
The cigar started off full bodied with cinnamon spice and citrus notes with plenty of black pepper. The finish is sweet vanilla with hints of almonds. The draw was very good. A powerful cigar that is not recommended for a beginner but experienced smokers will enjoy the strength. The cigar did not change much and stayed very consistent.
Score: 88

Xikar HC Connecticut Robusto (5x50)
The cigar had a slightly bitter citrus spice with light vanilla notes and pepper. Light sweet vanilla finish but fairly short. Mild bodied. I found the cigar lacked flavor and was just too mild. The Criollo version was much better. I still have a maduro version to review at a later date.
Score: 84
