Cabreras Cigars are sold by Little Cigar Box in Pasedena, Texas. This cigar is comprised of:
WRAPPER: SUMATRA
BINDER: DOMINICAN
FILLERS: SECO CUBANO and LIGERO CUBANO, & OLOR DOMINICANO
The cigar has an average feel in the hand for a 5x50 robusto.
The test draw after cutting the cap was effortless. The initial flavors were sweet cedar with a hint of cinnamon, earthy black coffee, and black pepper rated at a 7. The finish earthy, toasted cream with a little lingering black pepper.
About 1 1/2 inches in the sweet cedar with cinnamon has a high pitched sweetness which reminds me of cherry. There is also a touch of butter on those flavors. The cigar is mild to medium bodied. The finish is now more of a straight sweet cream with a touch of butter. The ash is almost white.
At the midpoint the pepper has intensified. I would say it's up to an 8 rating and it's very intense on the finish. The front end flavors are about the same. The pepper is the star of this segment.
The cigar ended with nice intense black pepper. It really moved up from the start. The front end flavors are the same. The black pepper on the finish is also very good. The finish is unchanged. The cigar gained strength and at the end I'd call it a solid medium plus; not quite medium to full. The price point of these is crazy good so they are well worth trying for both the flavors and the price point. You can purchase them HERE.
