The cigar is short and fat. The cap is finished with a tight pigtail.

The cigar has a very dense feel in the hand. The foot is closed.

The test draw after cutting off the pigtail was very good. The initial flavors at light up were cedar, brown sugar, cinnamon, quite a bit of nutmeg, and a lot of an earthy black coffee base. There was black pepper rated at a 7. Since the cigar is such a large ring gauge I will smoke the cigar very slowly to get an even burn.

At the first third (43 minutes) the cigar is burning evenly. The burn time is extremely good. This cigar reminds me of the Signature Selection which was my number 5 cigar of 2018. But, this cigar does not quite have the richness of that cigar. The flavors are now a tangy citrus/cedar with plenty of brown sugar and cinnamon, a lot of a pronounced sour nutmeg with a twang to it. The black coffee base is rather subdued at this point. The cigar is medium bodied. The finish is nutmeg with a touch of a toasted cream with a little lingering black pepper. The cigar is quite pleasing at this point. I rated the first third at 92.

At the second third (1 hour 24 minutes) the sweetness has increased. It's still a citrus/cedar type flavor with a lot of brown sugar with cinnamon. There is also a lot of the nutmeg notes. There is also a light black coffee base. The cigar is a low grade medium to full bodied. The finish is unchanged in flavor but there is a little more lingering black pepper. The cigar is moving more to my lane. It is very tasty at this point. I rated the second third at 93. The burn time continues to be extremely good.

The cigar lasted an amazing 1 hour 51 minutes. An amazing burn time for a 4 1/4 inch cigar. I achieved my goal of getting an even burn in the cigar. The flavors and strength continued on the same path from the second third through the end. I maintained the score of 93. This is a very good cigar and priced right; around $6 each. It reminds me a lot of the Signature Selection but not quite as good. But, good enough to have in the rotation.

Overall Score: 92.67
