Fans of The Incredible Hulk will now have a limited edition cigar to look forward to. Viaje has shipped two new editions to its Skull & Bones Series – Bruce Banner and The Hulk.

Bruce Banner is a scientist who was exposed to gamma rays. As a result of being exposed to the radiation, when Banner is under stress he transforms into a large, green creature known as the Hulk.

No details of the blend have been disclosed. The Viaje Skull and Bones Bruce Banner is a 5 1/4 x 56 vitola while The Hulk is a larger 5 1/4 x 60 vitola. There are cigars that have been branded as “The Hulk” from Viaje that in the past have been released as limited shop exclusives to several retailers. Both cigars are packaged in 25-count bundles. The 60 ring gauge Skull & Bones Hulk features a green-colored Skull & Bones brand.

Today we take a look at The Hulk.

The cigar is dark brown and very dense feeling in the hand. The foot is partially closed around the edge.

The test draw after cutting this massive cigar was excellent. The initial flavors at light up were a tangy cedar/citrus, quite a bit of brown sugar and cinnamon, caramel notes, creamy nutmeg, chocolate, and black coffee. There was a nice amount of black pepper rated at 8 initially. A very nice, sweet start.

At the first third (39 minutes) the cigar is impressing me. The lead flavor is now more of a citrus. The creamy nutmeg is combining with the caramel giving a smooth, sweet flavor. There is still plenty of brown sugar and cinnamon. The chocolate notes are still there, as well as the black coffee base. The cigar is medium to full bodied. The finish is one of caramel, nutmeg, brown sugar, and a nice amount of lingering black pepper. Viaje's have been hit and miss with me over the years but this cigar is really nice at this point. I rated the first third 94.

At the second third (1 hour 40 minutes) yes, you read that correctly. This cigar is burning VERY slowly. You will really get your money's worth. At this point the chocolate notes are coming out a little more. The lead flavor seems to be more of a cedar now. It goes back and forth from citrus to cedar. There is now underlying leather. All the other flavor notes are still in play. The cigar is now full bodied. The finish now has chocolate to go along with the caramel, nutmeg, and brown sugar. The lingering black pepper remains good. I continue to be impressed with this cigar. I maintained the previous score of 94 for the second third.

The cigar lasted an amazing 2 hours 6 minutes! That's a fantastic burn time. This has been a fairly consistent cigar. There were minor changes here and there; the addition of underlying leather in the second third and also chocolate on the finish. Other than that the cigar did not change much. You have citrus/cedar as the lead flavor, plenty of brown sugar and cinnamon, caramel, nutmeg, leather, chocolate, and black coffee. Pretty good flavors in a cigar. The cigar remained full bodied. The black pepper was good throughout. It never got below 7 1/2. The finish is unchanged from the second third. Smallbatchcigar.com has these for $67 for a 5 pack. This is a good cigar from Viaje. I thoroughly enjed it. I held the score of 94 for the final third.

Overall Score: 94
