The cigar has a nice barberpole wrapper. It has an average feel in the hand.
The test draw after cutting the cap was good. The initial flavors at light up were toffee, dry cocoa, apricot, and black coffee. There was black pepper rated at 7 to 7 1/2. Nice start.
At the first third (22 minutes) I had the same flavor notes. I like the apricot. It's sweet and somewhat tangy. I also still had the toffee, dry cocoa, and black coffee. The cigar is medium bodied. The finish is toffee and dry cocoa with good lingering black pepper. I find this to be a tasty cigar. I rated the first third 93.
Moving through the second third (45 minutes) the cigar is burning very evenly. The flavor notes haven't changed but the percentages have. I had apricot, lower amounts of dry cocoa, toffee, and increased earthy black coffee. The finish is toffee, apricot, and good lingering black pepper. I rated the second third 92.
The cigar lasted 1 hour 9 minutes. I lost the apricot notes. I still had the toffee, dry cocoa in a lesser amount, plenty of black coffee, and now there is also leather. The cigar is still medium bodied. The finish is dry cocoa, leather, and very good lingering black pepper. The loss of the apricot was a negative but the remaining flavors are in a nice mix that is pretty good. I rated the final third 91. I enjoyed this cigar.
