Video review HERE.
This is the LCA cigar for March, 2022. Very little is known about these cigars. All that is known is they are toros, 6 x 54 and they are rolled in Costa Rica. That's it.
The cigar looks nice and has a good feel in the hand.
The test draw after cutting the cap was good. The initial flavors at light up were citrus, citrus peel, light peach, and leather. There was black pepper rated at 7 1/2.
At the first third (26 minutes) the flavors are roughly like they started. At this point I had citrus, citrus peel, lime, brown sugar, nutmeg, and leather. The finish is citrus, lime, and leather with average lingering black pepper. The cigar is medium bodied. The cigar is not bad at this point. It has a lot of sweeter notes to go with the leather. I rated the first third 92.
Moving through the second third (56 minutes) I still had the citrus, citrus peel, lime, light brown sugar, elevated leather, and a touch of bitterness. The finish is light toffee, citrus peel, and leather with good lingering black pepper. The cigar is now medium to full bodied. I'm not a fan of any bitterness in a cigar. This one has some but it's not in a crazy amount. I rated the second third 89.
The cigar lasted 1 hour 19 minutes. The bitterness improved a little in the final third. The main flavor notes are still there; citrus, citrus peel, lime, a little brown sugar, and leather. The cigar is medium to full bodied. The finish is unchanged. The cigar made a little improvement so I rated the final third 90. Not a bad cigar but not great.
