J.C. Newman launched Brick House; a true Cuban puro cigar made with the finest Havana tobaccos. To honor his family and heritage, J.C. modeled the Brick House label after his childhood home – the only brick house in their small, Hungarian village. Locals and visitors would gather at the house nightly to eat, drink, smoke and enjoy each other’s company. But with the Great Depression came the end of the Brick House.
Over 80 years later, grandsons Eric and Bobby Newman relaunched Brick House using the most exquisite Nicaraguan tobaccos. Wrapped in a hearty Havana Subido™ leaf, every cigar features a rich blend of Nicaraguan tobaccos carefully hand-rolled by master artisans. Aged in the mountains of Nicaragua, every Brick House cigar is a melding of flawless construction, superb quality and master blend.

The cigar comes in a crystal tube. To ensure a good draw I took the cigar out of the tube and let it sit in the humidor for several days. It has a nice feel in the hand.
The test draw after cutting the cap was good with a touch of firmness. The initial flavors at light up were citrus, cedar, brown sugar, nutmeg, and leather. There was black pepper rated at 7. Pretty good start but there's a significant amount of nutmeg.
At the first third (38 minutes) the flavors are about like I initially described; nice citrus, light cedar, nice brown sugar, quite a bit of dry nutmeg, and leather. The cigar is medium bodied. The finish is a touch of citrus with leather and good lingering black pepper. The flavors are pretty nice but the dry nutmeg is taking away some of the enjoyment. I rated the first third 92.
As I moved through the second third (1 hour 19 minutes) things changed. I had light citrus, citrus peel, brown sugar, nutmeg, earthiness, and leather. The citrus peel is not a great flavor and it's working against the nice citrus and brown sugar notes. The cigar is still medium bodied. The finish is unchanged. Nutmeg and citrus peel are not flavors you want in a cigar and they take away a lot. I rated the second third 90.
The cigar lasted a very impressive 1 hour 47 minutes. I had a nice turnaround in the final third. The citrus peel toned down quite a bit and the nutmeg really toned down. Now there is a lot of citrus and brown sugar, light citrus peel, light nutmeg, and leather. The cigar is now medium to full bodied. The finish had more citrus with leather and very good lingering black pepper. The cigar is better now that it was in the first third. I rated the final third 93.
