CLE has begun shipping the Eiroa PCA Exclusive 2023, which uses a black color scheme with red accents and has a Honduran corojo wrapper. For context, the Asylum PCA Exclusive 2023 has an undisclosed wrapper, while the CLE PCA Exclusive 2023 uses an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper. Underneath the corojo wrapper is an undisclosed blend that includes tobacco from the aforementioned South American farm.

”I am loving this tobacco from our new South American farm,” said Christian Eiroa, CLE’s founder, in a press release when the cigar was announced in June. “We are taking the bold move to use this tobacco in a few of our new releases at PCA. The combination of the authentic corojo with this new tobacco I think makes this a special blend.”
The cigar is medium brown and has an average feel in the hand.
The test draw after cutting the cap was very good. The initial flavors at light up were a citrus/apricot, brown sugar, a little cayenne pepper, light earthiness, and light black coffee. There was black pepper rated at 7 1/2. Pretty good start.
At the first third (16 minutes) I no longer had the cayenne pepper notes but there's a lot of nice black pepper, which is up to 8. The black pepper mixes very well with the earthiness creating a scratchy, peppery note. The citrus/apricot and brown sugar is quite nice and sweet. In this case the earthiness is not hurting the cigar. I'd say the strength is medium bodied. The finish is a deep apricot flavor with good lingering black pepper. The cigar is very nice at this point. I rated the first third 94.
As I moved through the second third (39 minutes) the earthiness is moving up. Now the notes are apricot, light citrus, brown sugar, increased earthiness, and black coffee. The cigar is medium bodied. The finish has light apricot and black coffee with some earthiness and very good lingering black pepper. I rated the second third 93.
The cigar lasted 54 minutes. The earthiness is still creeping up. The apricot and brown sugar is much lighter. The earthiness still has the black pepper mixed in so it's not a terrible flavor but it's a little too much for comfort. The cigar is now medium to full bodied. The finish is unchanged. The cigar was not ruined by the increased earthiness but it gradually hurt it. I rated the final third 92.
