CLUB MACANUDO TO OPEN IN TAIPEI

Club Macanudo will debut its newest location in Taipei, Taiwan. Called Club Macanudo Taipei, the luxury cigar lounge is the second such venue in Asia and will open to the public on February 27.

Located in Xinyi, the central business district of Taipei, Club Macanudo is at the epicenter of Taiwan’s fashion capital where art installations, stunning architecture including the iconic Taipei 101 tower, world-class shopping and an array of cultural and culinary destinations draw a chic, well-heeled clientele.

The intimate space calls upon an achromatic palette and subtle luminosity expressed through leather, marble and gold to bring the Club Macanudo experience to life. The Club consists of an elegantly-appointed smoking lounge and bar, retail space and an al fresco smoking lounge with intriguing views of Taipei.

Club Macanudo Taipei’s retail selection has been curated to feature a collection of Macanudo cigars including the popular Inspirado line, a global best-seller. The Club also stocks a selection of Scandinavian Tobacco Group’s most popular brands including CAO, Silencio and Alec Bradley.

RĂ©gis Broersma, senior vice president of Scandinavian Tobacco Group’s (STG) North America Branded and Rest of World Division and president of General Cigar said, “As the Macanudo brand continues to grow globally, particularly in Asia, Club Macanudo Taipei represents our ongoing commitment to providing consumers with occasions for indulging in handmade cigars. This location was developed to blend seamlessly into the fabric of Taipei, offering a stylish and welcoming haven for the region’s cigar smokers and those who visit this world-class city. We believe that Club Macanudo Taipei sets the stage perfectly for the continued expansion of Club Macanudo, both in Asia and beyond.”

In addition to the Club Macanudo locations in New York City, Bossier City, Kuala Lumpur and Taipei, Scandinavian Tobacco Group also operates a Macanudo-branded, luxury retail shop and cigar lounge in Copenhagen called “Cigar Shop Macanudo.”
