Famous 80th Anniversary Corona Larga (6 1/2 x 48)

Video review HERE.

(Description taken from Famous Smoke Shop website)

Roll back to 2019 when Famous turned 80, and Steve Saka pulled out all the stops to make our most talked-about Anniversary cigar. As the name implies, they were one-and-dones - and only an act of God would get more made. Somehow it happened and we got a second run. But to come back for an unprecedented third release, and in regular production capacity? Somehow we got it done: the DT&T 80th is here, in four sizes.

The cigar is well made and box pressed. It has an average to nice feel in the hand.

The test draw after cutting the cap was a little firm but workable. The initial flavors at light up were lime, brown sugar, earthiness, and leather. There was black pepper rated at 7. Pretty good start.

At the first third (39 minutes) the cigar is burning very slowly, which is a good thing. I had the same notes. Nothing changed other than the sweet notes are a little more pronounced. The cigar is medium bodied. The finish is leather with average lingering black pepper. The cigar has nice notes. I rated the first third 92.

Moving through the second third (1 hour 30 minutes) the only thing that has changed is there are now black coffee notes. The cigar is still medium bodied and the finish is unchanged. The cigar appears to be pretty consistent. I held the score of 92.

The cigar lasted 2 hour 2 minutes. A great burn time for a Corona large. Nothing changed in the final third. The cigar proved to be very consistent. This is not the best Dunbarton cigar I've had but it's pretty good. They did a great job for Famous and their 80th anniversary. I held the score of 92.

Overall Score: 92
