The cigar is dark and has an average feel in the hand.
The test draw after cutting the cap was good. The initial flavors at light up were citrus, toasted toffee, and chocolate. There was black pepper rated at 8. A very good start.
At the first third (16 minutes) the citrus and the toasted toffee are about even in amount and there's a lot of them both. The are mixing very well. The chocolate makes a nice base. The black pepper is mixed into all the flavors making the cigar very peppery. The cigar is medium bodied. The finish is light toffee with very good lingering black pepper. I rated the first third 95.
Moving through the second third (32 minutes) the cigar is burning very evenly. The toffee has taken the lead but the citrus is still in play. There are now black coffee notes at the base making the base wider along with the chocolate. The black pepper is still very good. The cigar is now medium to full bodied. The finish is a more pronounced toffee with very good lingering black pepper. I held the score of 95.
The cigar lasted 50 minutes. In the final third I lost the citrus notes and the black coffee became more elevated. There's still toffee but the citrus and toasted toffee was very nice in the first two thirds. The cigar is full bodied. The black pepper is still very good. The finish is toffee with a little black coffee and very good lingering black pepper. The cigar lost a little but it's still rated at 93. Put this one on your list. A very good cigar from Powstanie.
