Black Label Trading Company is pleased to announce the shipment of Super Deluxe to select retailers. Super Deluxe is hand crafted in Esteli, Nicaragua at Fabrica Oveja Negra.
This highly anticipated limited release is only the second release of this cigar, originally launched in 2020.
“Super Deluxe is the most requested cigar in BLTC history, so I’m very excited to bring it back. The combination of Nicaraguan fillers and the Mexican San Andrés wrapper create a bold, dark and rich profile. The subtle spice blends with the dark fruit and star anise notes creating a long complex finish. This cigar represents what our consumers have come to love from Black Label,” said James Brown, creator of Black Label Trading Co. and partner at Fabrica Oveja Negra.
SUPER DELUXE will be available at select retailers.

The cigar is very dark and box pressed. It has an average feel in the hand.
The test draw after cutting the cap was good. The initial flavors at light up were citrus, citrus peel, brown sugar, light leather, and black coffee. There was black pepper rated at 7 1/2 to 8. After about 5 minutes the notes change to a sweet, rich raisin with brown sugar. The leather is hardly noticeable and the black coffee is rather light. Nice start.
At the first third (22 minutes) the cigar is burning very evenly. The black coffee is starting to get warmed up. It's rising. There's a nice amount of raisin notes and the black coffee is creeping up trying to match them. There's a little light leather in the mix. The finish is a little leather with raisin and very good lingering black pepper. The cigar is medium to full bodied. At the 5 minute point the raisin notes were much sweeter than it is now. The rising black coffee can take credit for that. I rated the first third 94.
As I moved through the second third (41 minutes) the black coffee continues to rise. It is now about even with the raisin notes and taking away some of their sweetness and richness. In the first third they were trying to match the raisin notes. In the second third they achieved it. The cigar is medium to full bodied. The finish is unchanged. I rated the second third 93.
The cigar lasted 1 hour 10 minutes. The cigar reverted to the way it was in the first third. The raisin notes have a slight lead over the black coffee. The cigar is medium to full bodied. The finish is unchanged. The black pepper has been nice in this cigar. I rated the final third 94. This cigar has been good but I thought it might be a little better. The black coffee played a major roll in keeping the score somewhat downplayed. Still, another good cigar from Black Label Trading Co.
