CAO is expanding its portfolio with the launch of Surplus by CAO, a trio of approachable cigars designed to deliver the brand’s globally inspired craftsmanship at a competitive price point. Available in Shade, Maduro and Sweet, Surplus is crafted for the curious smoker looking to explore the world of fine tobacco without breaking the bank.
“With Surplus by CAO, we wanted to create a cigar that gives more people the chance to experience our quality tobacco offerings,” said Cory Beardsley, Brand Manager. “Surplus brings our blending expertise to a price point that anyone can get behind, whatever your profile or smoking preferences.”
Surplus by CAO features a Dominican Olor filler, an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder, and wrappers sourced to suit each blend’s profile: a smooth Honduran Connecticut for Shade, a bold Mexican San Andrés for Maduro and an aromatic Ecuadorian Sumatra for Sweet. Each blend is offered in three formats: Robusto, Toro, and Gigante, and is handcrafted in Honduras.
Surplus by CAO ships to retailers starting August 1. Cigars come in 25-count bundles for Shade and Maduro and 20-count bundles for Sweet. Suggested retail pricing ranges from $45.80 to $69.75 per bundle.
