Black Label Trading Company is pleased to announce the shipment of Eletto to select retailers. ELETTO is hand crafted in Esteli, Nicaragua at Fabrica Oveja Negra.
“Eletto or “Chosen One” is just as the name implies. I chose this cigar to be a tribute to celebrate the 10yr anniversary of Fábrica Oveja Negra. This cigar is a great representation of BLTC but also highlights the big, bold, Nicaraguan tobacco Oveja Negra if known for.
The Eletto is bold with an intense retro and layers of complexity. Notes of dark fruit are followed by waves of spice and star anise. As the name implies it is destined to be an instant classic,” said James Brown, creator of Black Label Trading Co. and partner at Fabrica Oveja Negra.

The cigar is dark and has an average feel in the hand.
The test draw after cutting the cap was good. The initial flavors at light up were peach/apricot, brown sugar, and earthy black coffee. There was black pepper rated at 7 1/2. Pretty good start.
At the first third (21 minutes) the main note has settled down to peach. There's brown sugar and a little nougat to go along with it and earthy black coffee, which has risen from the light up. The cigar is medium bodied. The finish is black coffee with very good lingering black pepper. The notes are working well at this point. I rated the first third 94.
As I moved through the second third (37 minutes) the black coffee is still moving up and it made a pretty significant jump. I still get the peach, brown sugar, and some nougat but the black coffee has risen enough to take away a good bit of the sweetness. The cigar is still medium bodied. The finish is unchanged. I rated the second third 92.
The cigar lasted 54 minutes. The peach made a valiant attempt to rise and did so somewhat. There is still an abundance of black coffee but the sweet notes are a little better. The cigar is medium to full bodied. The finish is unchanged. The cigar got about halfway back to the way it was in the first third so I rated the final third 93. This cigar is a little heavy on the black coffee and I found that a little unusual for a Black Label Trading Company cigar.
