J.SANN & SON Family Factory Brand Portfolio Sneak Peek: Five Wynwood Made Brand Recipes from Jonathan Drew Sann



J.SANN & SON is proud to present a first look at our family factory brand portfolio, a collection of five new brands made at Founder Jonathan Drew Sann’s family factory in Wynwood, Florida.

Attendees of the 2026 PCA Conference will get the first chance to view the collection and spend time with JD in a personal, one-on-one setting. Please visit JD inside the Drew Estate Booth #3241.


TIMING & SEQUENCING

Tobacco Selection - “In 2024, we began securing and purchasing tobaccos from small and large farms from all over the world. We continue to inspect and acquire leaf today. We will provide more information over the summer, as we finish the blending process in September 2026.”

Recipes & Blending - “The final blends, wrappers, and vitolas of each J.SANN & SON frontmark will be complete by September of 2026. ​ Early sample production will be shared with J.SANN & SON Core Purveyors throughout the U.S. and internationally. We will smoke them together. Stay tuned for key, early production blend tastings with Core Purveyors.”

Factory & Initial Production - “September is the current estimated date for full production to begin at the family factory in Wynwood. Four cigar rollers, manufacturing 500 cigars per day 100% by hand. Aging, color selection, quality control, and finally, packaging will all take place on premise at J.SANN & SON.”

First Shipments to Core Purveyors - “January is the current, estimated date to ship products to our Core Purveyors in the US and internationally. Drew Estate will be responsible for all sales and distribution of the five J.SANN & SON proprietary brands.”


WYNWOOD FAMILY FACTORY PORTFOLIO

The J.SANN & SON Family Factory Portfolio is comprised of five signature recipes that together form the foundation of the brand’s identity. Each blend is handcrafted at the Wynwood manufactory using hand-selected tobacco bales, reviewed personally by JD, and held to the exacting standard as found on The Family Guarantee Seal.

J.SANN & SON is among the most intimate and intentional cigar operations in the world. With only four rollers producing a strictly limited run of 500 cigars per day, every cigar is a testament to quality over quantity. Located just four blocks from JD’s home, our manufactory brings Jonathan back to his roots of living inside the factory.


J.SANN & SON “OUR TRADEMARK”



OUR TRADEMARK is the family branded-house that represents J.SANN & SON’s commitment, accountability and contribution to the culture of premium cigars. Every J.SANN & SON cigar will carry the J.SANN & SON secondary brand, including the Brooklyn Bridge and Sag Harbor Windmill. “OUR TRADEMARK harkens back to my beginnings in Brooklyn, New York in 1996, as well as the sixteen years that I lived in EstelĂ­, Nicaragua during the early days of Drew Estate,” says Founder Jonathan Drew Sann “Today, my family and I live just four blocks from the family factory, where I oversee every detail of the manufactory.”


"MADRUGADA" by J.SANN & SON


“Dedicated to my son, JD2, who is half Nicaraguan and half Neoyorquino (from New York). MADRUGADA illustrates my love for him and the people of Nicaragua, who adopted me with open arms as their native son in 1998,” shares Jonathan Drew. “When JD2 thinks about his father someday when I am gone, I wish for him to remember my work ethic, my passion for people, and my love for the two countries that birthed our family craft. I hope that he becomes an honest man of high character and pours all his heart into his work product for both Drew Estate and J.SANN & SON. This is what the Madrugada brand means to me.”


"THIRTEEN YEARS" by J.SANN & SON



"Named after the thirteen years between selling Drew Estate and opening J.SANN & SON,” explains Jonathan Drew, “THIRTEEN YEARS is a testament to a promise made and a promise fulfilled . THIRTEEN YEARS is autobiographical in both brand and recipe, illustrating the journey of a generational brand. The striking artwork of CLEON PETERSON fosters storytelling elements of struggle in the fluctuating architecture of contemporary society … personally, I am a major collector of CLEON PETERSON art, including museum pieces, and am incredibly honored to have this collaboration.”


"WEST END CIGARS" by J.SANN & SON



West End is a collaboration between friends, one from New York, the other from the West End of Kentucky … honoring the neighborhoods that made us who we are. Every city has a West End, where the basic adversities of everyday life build our character and our will to persevere – the ‘baptismo de fuego’ that drives us to go beyond where anyone would have ever imagined. “True friends, Stacey Wade and I have never forgotten where we come from and dedicate this spirited brand to every city’s West End,” says Jonathan Drew.


"HOMEGROWN" by J.SANN & SON



"HOMEGROWN is a mixed-filler blend from the trimmings of the Wynwood-made brand recipes. It’s like eating hamburger made exclusively of filet mignon."
