Macanudo Gold Label returns for 2026, bringing its signature golden wrapper and consistently smooth, creamy profile back for a limited time. This year, the fan-favorite lineup includes ‘Gold Bullion’ — a 6” x 54 box-pressed vitola crafted to offer a new take on the blend.
What makes Gold Label distinct is its Connecticut Shade Capa Especial wrapper, harvested exclusively from the first and second primings of the tobacco plant. Positioned lower on the stalk, these leaves receive less sunlight, allowing them to develop higher natural sugar content and a lighter, more refined character.
The blend is rounded out with a Mexican binder, also drawn from the first and second primings, and a filler composed of Mexican and Dominican tobaccos, resulting in a profile that remains balanced, mellow and easy to enjoy.
Matt Wilson, Senior Brand Manager for Macanudo, said, “Gold Label is a release that continues to resonate with smokers year after year. With Gold Bullion, we’re introducing a box-pressed vitola for Gold Label that slightly shifts the smoking experience, while preserving the smooth, approachable character that defines the blend.”
Macanudo Gold Label is handcrafted at General Cigar Dominicana in Santiago, Dominican Republic. The collection will begin shipping to retailers in May 2026.
