“The Toro 109 allows the Supreme Leaf blend to shine in a fresh way,” said Terence Reilly, Vice President of Sales and Marketing for Aganorsa Leaf. “The tapered ‘109- style’ head concentrates the flavors at the start while the 52-ring gauge provides a rich, dense smoke that Supreme Leaf fans will instantly recognize. We think this vitola captures the essence of Aganorsa’s signature flavor profile while offering something new and exciting in a classic Cuban Size.”
Crafted in Nicaragua using 100% Aganorsa-grown tobaccos, the Toro 109 features the same vibrant, orange-banded presentation that has become synonymous with Supreme Leaf releases. As with previous vitolas, production will be limited, and demand is expected to exceed supply.

The cigar is well made and has a average feel in the hand. The foot is closed.
The test draw after cutting the cap was very good even with the closed foot. The initial flavors at light up were a sharp orange citrus with some lemony influence, brown sugar, leather, earthiness, and black coffee. There was black coffee rated at 7 1/2. Nice start.
At the first third (28 minutes) the flavors are about the same. The cigar is very balanced. There are equal amounts of sweet notes and lower level notes. The cigar is medium bodied, leaning toward medium to full. The finish is leather with very good lingering black pepper. The flavors are very recognizable. They are very much what you would expect if you've had other vitolas in the Supreme Leaf series. I rated the first third 95.
Moving through the second third (1 hour 4 minutes) the notes were the same but there is a little more leathery black coffee. Instead of balanced it's now 40/60, sweet to lower level notes. The cigar is medium to full bodied. The finish is unchanged. The elevation of leathery black coffee caused the score to lower to 94. Still a very good cigar.
The cigar lasted 1 hour 37 minutes. A very good burn time. The cigar didn't change much. The sweet notes did rise a little but not enough to change the score. I held 94 for the final third. The cigar is now full bodied. The finish is unchanged. This is another great vitola in the Supreme Leaf series.
