PLASENCIA CIGARS APPOINTS RODRIGO MEDINA MENDIETA AS FIRST-EVER GLOBAL BRAND AMBASSADOR

Plasencia Cigars, a world-renowned premium tobacco grower and maker of award-winning cigars with a tobacco tradition since 1865 proudly announces the appointment of Rodrigo Medina Mendieta as the company’s first-ever Global Brand Ambassador, a newly created role that reflects both the continued evolution of the brand and Rodrigo’s nearly 11 years of dedication to expanding Plasencia’s presence around the world.

Throughout his tenure, Rodrigo has played a key role in the international growth of Plasencia Cigars, helping strengthen the brand’s presence across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and other international markets. In his new position, he will serve as a global representative of the brand, sharing the story of the Plasencia family’s five-generation tobacco legacy, commitment to craftsmanship, and deep connection to the land.

Raised in Nicaragua, Rodrigo has long viewed his work with Plasencia as more than a profession. For him, it has been an opportunity to represent his homeland through one of its most celebrated products while helping elevate Nicaragua’s reputation on the global stage.
