Opus X Perfecxion No. 4

As a way to welcome back the Nascar season I celebrated the Bud Shootout with this cigar. I picked it up recently at the Tobacco Merchant. It is from the current production.

Arturo Fuente Opus X Perfecxion No. 4 (5 3/16x43)

Is there any doubt that the Opus X band is the prettiest one out there? I love it. But, no one smokes the bands so they have nothing to do with the cigar's taste.

That being said, let's get to the review.

Lots of flavors right from light up. The cigar has an intense mix of cinnamon, vanilla, almonds, and orange citrus, along with a truckload of black pepper! Smaller ring cigars usually have a ton of flavor so I want to see how this cigar stacks up. The finish is a mile long with vanilla notes with raw almond undertones and lingering black pepper. The black pepper lingers all over the palate. The vanilla is the lead flavor closely followed by the cinnamon. After an inch there is a blast of sweet orange citrus rich with vanilla notes. The finish is more raw almonds at this point. Very tight ash. Not much change in the second half. Medium to full bodied. Great cigar with tons of flavor.

Score: 92
