Oliva event at The Maduro Room

Friday night and a trip to Lexington and The Maduro Room for the Oliva event. Mike Walters was on hand representing Oliva and featuring the new cigar from Nub, the Cain Daytona.

Oliva Cain Daytona cigars are handcrafted by Oliva Cigars in Esteli, Nicaragua. This new edition consists of longfiller ligero leaves grown in the Jalapa Valley rolled in a lush, milder tasting Habano wrapper, making this 'straight ligero' blend very attractive to those who want a more medium-bodied Cain cigar. Daytona offers a full-flavored, ultra smooth smoke.

While at The Maduro Room Mike handed me a 60 to try. It was definitely medium bodied; notably less in strength than the regular Cain but very flavorful with notes of citrus, almond and vanilla with a great thick vanilla finish and very nice pepper. I'll give a full review on the other sizes later.
