The cigar is cool to look at with the contrast between the Connecticut wrapper and the maduro lines. It's a short cigar so it has a light feel in the hand.

The test draw after cutting the cap was very good. The initial flavors at light up were a lot of sweet cream notes. There were also tangy citrus which reminds me of a sweet pink grapefruit. There were also quite a bit of brown sugar and cinnamon notes, and earthy black coffee. There was a nice amount of black pepper which I rated at an 8. There is also an earthy nutmeg in the mix but it's not overpowering. A nice, sweet start.

At the first third (16 minutes +/-) there is a ton of brown sugar combining with the sweet cream. There is a nice black coffee base that is non-intrusive but noticeable. The cigar is medium bodied. The tangy citrus is somewhat dwarfed by the brown sugar, cinnamon, and cream. The pepper remains very good. The finish is nutmeg, cream, and a little brown sugar with some lingering black pepper. This is a top notch Connecticut cigar. It's very sweet and I love the brown sugar/cream/cinnamon combination. I rated the first third at 94.

At the second third (35 minutes) the cigar continues to be very sweet. The lead flavor is now more of a cedar rather than citrus. The black coffee is at the perfect level. The nutmeg seems to have slightly decreased. The finish is very sweet with cream and there is a ton of lingering black pepper. For the second third I held the score of 94.

The cigar lasted about 48 minutes. This was a very good cigar. I loved the cream, brown sugar, and cinnamon combination which made the cigar so very sweet. There was even a nice black coffee base. The cigar was medium bodied. The finish was great also. I maintained the score of 94 for the final third. James Brown has a very good Connecticut cigar here and worthy of the Killer Bee name.

Overall Score: 94
