UNITED CIGARS TAKES ON US DISTRIBUTION FOR GERMAN BASED ARNOLD ANDRÉ

German based Arnold André begins US distribution with United Cigars. Founded in 1817, Arnold André is the largest machine-made cigar manufacturer in Germany and began its premium cigar production after purchasing a facility in the Dominican Republic in 2011. Though their premium cigar production has been well received all over Europe, this will be Arnold André’s first release in the US. The focus will be on two of their four premium, long-filler lines: Montosa and Terra Nova.

“The André family history runs deep throughout Europe,” shared Emilio Ferri, Director of Export for Arnold  André. “This expansion to the United States has been a goal of the André family for many years and this partnership is exactly what we were looking for.”

The Montosa line will be available in natural and maduro packaged in 20 count boxes. Displayed in an electric orange box, the Montosa Natural is a mild to medium bodied cigar featuring an Ecuadorian Connecticut Shade wrapper that compliments the Mexican San Andres binder and fillers of Dominican Criollo and Piloto with Java from Indonesia. Delicately spicy with a creamy finish.

For a more bold and fuller bodied experience the Montosa Maduro will deliver more earthy notes. With an oily Mexican San Andres wrapper around Bahia Sumatra binder and a blend of Dominican, Nicaraguan,

Brazilian and Dark Fired Kentucky tobacco leaves the Montosa Maduro delivers complex notes.

The Terra Nova line will be available in two separate blends. The Terra Nova Araperique uses an Ecuadorian wrapper and binder holding together a blend of Dominican, Peruvian, Nicaraguan, and Brazilian Araperique.

With tobaccos aged under high pressure in oak whisky barrels for one year, expect a refined medium bodied experience.

An exceptionally different tobacco composition, the Terra Nova Dark Fired Kentucky line uses a subtle blend of Kentucky fire cured tobaccos from the Dominican, Nicaragua, and Brazil. Medium bodied profile using Sumatra binder and an Ecuadorian wrapper.

The Montosa and Terra Nova lines will be displayed at the 2022 TPE show in Las Vegas, NV and are available in the following four sizes: Short Robusto (3 7/8 x 54), Robusto (4 7/8 x 50), Toro (5 7/8 x 50), and Churchill (6 3/4 x 54), with suggested retail prices of $6.00 to $8.00 per cigar, excluding state and local taxes.
