ATL Cigar Co. partner with Luciano Cigars



We are excited to announce a strategic partnership between ATL Cigar Co. and Luciano Cigars.

Luciano Meirelles, the master blender behind our ATL Black and ATL Magic, has reorganized his business into a vertically integrated cigar company, from seed to shelf. In addition to the tobacco farms and cigar factory he previously owned, Luciano is now handling sales and distribution of his products directly and renaming his company from Ace Prime to Luciano Cigars.

Under our new strategic partnership, ATL Cigar Co is joining the Luciano Cigars family of brands, which provides significant benefits to all of us in the ATL Cigar Co. family.

What this means for ATL Cigar Co:

This partnership is a dream come true for us, less than two years after launching our company.

As the main private label in Luciano Cigars’ production, ATL Cigar Co. products will now be distributed throughout Luciano Cigars’ network of 1,200 stores in the US and 12 countries overseas. We will also move all cigar production to Luciano Cigars by year-end. We will launch new, Luciano-produced cigars in 2023 that will receive top industry attention. ATL Cigar Company will also take a minority stake in Luciano Cigars to align our growth strategies as part of the deal.

Our ownership is staying the same. Luciano Cigars has not acquired ATL Cigar Co. Leroy Lamar, our President is still our largest shareholder, and ATL will continue to manage all things related to our brand and marketing. 

Our Head of Product, Peter Gross, will become the Chief Operating Officer of Luciano Cigars, giving us substantial influence within the company while continuing to be a Partner and minority shareholder of ATL Cigar Co.

Our Director of Marketing, Janelle Lamar, will be supporting the back office of Luciano Cigars and the integration of ATL Cigar Co products into its distribution network while continuing to manage the marketing of ATL Cigar Co products directly.

We will stop selling our cigars on shop.atlcigar.co directly to consumers as of December 31, 2022, as we will have a nationwide brick-and-mortar network. Our site initially helped us grow national awareness, but moving forward, all of our support will go toward our brick-and-mortar retailers.
