This year, Enrique Sanchez’s Global Premium Cigars (and 1502 brand) celebrated its tenth anniversary. To commemorate the occasion, Sanchez has launched the 1502 Aniversario 10. It’s a cigar that was showcased at the 2022 Premium Cigar Association (PCA) Trade Show. It is also a cigar that had a soft launch on the eve of the Trade Show at a launch event at En Fuego in Las Vegas, Nevada.
With the 1502 Aniversario 10, there is a big change compared to all of the other 1502-branded cigars. This is the first 1502 cigar to come out of A. Fernandez’s factory in Nicaragua. The blend itself features an Ecuadorian wrapper over a Mexican binder and all-Nicaraguan fillers. The cigar comes in one size- a 6 x 50 Toro. The cigars are presented in ten-count boxes. It is a regular production cigar with pricing set at $14.00 per cigar.

The cigar is well made and has an average feel in the hand.
The test draw after cutting the cap was good with a touch of firmness. The intial flavors at light up were a lemony citrus, brown sugar, nutmeg, and leather. There was black pepper rated at 7 1/2. The lemony citrus is an interesting flavor but nice. Good start.
At the first third (33 minutes) I had the same notes and the cigar is fairly balanced. I'm getting the same amount of sweeter notes as I am the leather notes. The cigar is medium bodied. The finish is citrus and leather with very good lingering black pepper. Good cigar. I rated the first third 94.
Moving through the second third (1 hour 1 minute) I noticed the cigar is burning very evenly. The same flavor notes are in play but there is a touch more leather. It's just slightly out of balance. The cigar is medium to full bodied. The finish is leather with very good lingering black pepper. I rated the second third 93.
The cigar lasted 1 hour 24 minutes. The cigar reverted back to the first third; nice lemony citrus, brown sugar, nutmeg, and leather. It's fairly balanced again. The cigar is medium to full bodied. The finish is leather with very good lingering black pepper. I rated the final third 94. A very good cigar from 1502.
