The big change is the 2022 HVC Black Friday will be coming from the HVC Boutique Factor in Estelí, Nicaragua. Previous installments of the Black Friday Series have been coming from the TABSA Factory. The cigar is a 5 1/2 x 50 Robusto featuring a Habano Cafe wrapper from Ecuador over all Nicaraguan tobaccos. A total of 600 50-count boxes have been produced. Pricing is set at $8.50 per cigar.
In an email communication from HVC Cigars’ owner Reinier Lorenzo, he talked a little more about the details of the blend, “This year I went on different direction when I come to the blend from previous years. I am a flavor hunter when I come to blending, so this year in this blend. I not use Ligero only Visos and Secos in the filler most from Jalapa region and a little bit of Esteli but the visos are powerful enough to bring the cigar a unique body to this blend. For the wrapper Habano 92 from Cuba growing in Ecuador.”
The Black Friday limited edition cigar is meant to coincide with the unofficial U.S. holiday Black Friday. Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, is known as the biggest shopping day of the year. The HVC Black Friday 2022 is scheduled to ship in the late October/early November timeframe

The cigar appears to be well made and has an average feel in the hand.
The test draw after cutting the cap was a little firm but I decided to work with it. The initial flavors at light up were a nice citrus, light toffee, and chocolate. There was nice black pepper rated at 8. Nice start.
At the first third (26 minutes) I had much the same notes. There's a lot of orange citrus that's very sweet and a little tangy. The toffee and chocolate are nice. And now there's some nutmeg which is noticeable. The cigar is medium bodied. The finish is citrus and chocolate with very good lingering black pepper. The cigar is quite tasty. I rated the first third 94.
Moving through the second third (56 minutes) the nutmeg is starting to rise. For the most part the same flavor notes are in play. There's also black coffee at the base to go along with the chocolate. The elevated nutmeg has dented the sweetness a little. The cigar is medium to full bodied. The finish is nutmeg, hints of citrus, chocolate, and a little black coffee with very good lingering black pepper. I rated the second third 93.
The cigar lasted 1 hour 25 minutes. The black coffee is elevated while the nutmeg has toned down a bit. I don't really have the chocolate any more. There is some citrus and light brown sugar; not really the pronounced toffee notes. The cigar is medium to full bodied, pushing toward full bodied. The finish still has some toffee, chocolate and black coffee with very good lingering black pepper. The cigar is still good but not quite as good as it started. I held the score of 93 for the final third. Good cigar worth giving a try.
