INTERGALACTIC Event Horizon Toro (6 x 48)

Video review HERE.

(Description provided by Black Works Studio)

Black Works Studio (BLK WKS) is pleased to announce the release of INTERGALACTIC Event Horizon; hand crafted at Fabrica Oveja Negra in Esteli, Nicaragua.

“We are bringing out the dark side of Intergalactic with “Event Horizon”.  The Event Horizon is wrapped in Pennsylvania Broadleaf which completely changes everything from the original 2022 Sumatra Intergalactic. This cigar is bold with flavors of dark fruits, raisins, earth and star anise. The long finish is a mix of pepper and chili spice followed by a hint of sweetness. The Event Horizon is extremely complex and very well balanced," says James Brown, creator of BLTC and partner at Fabrica Oveja Negra.

The cigar is very dark and well made. It has an average feel in the hand.

The test draw after cutting the cap was good. The initial flavors at light up were a rich, sweet apricot, brown sugar, slight earthiness, and black coffee. There was black pepper rated at 7 1/2. Really good start; sweet and dark.

At the first third (22 minutes) the flavors are just like they started. The apricot is very sweet and rich. There is a lot of brown sugar to back it up. The earthiness in minimal and the black coffee is stout. It is very close to equal between the sweet notes and the black coffee. The flavors are mixing very well. The finish is apricot with very good lingering black pepper. The cigar is medium bodied. The cigar is extremely good at this point. I rated the first third 96.

As I moved through the second third (48 minutes) the earthiness increased a little. Enough to dull the extreme sweet apricot. The cigar is still medium bodied. The finish is apricot and black coffee with very good lingering black pepper. I rated the second third 95. The cigar remains very good.

The cigar lasted 1 hour 14 minutes. The heavy sweetness returned and now there's a little toffee in the mix. There's plenty of sweetness; apricot, brown sugar, and toffee. And there are plenty of black coffee notes to equal the sweet notes. The cigar is now medium to full bodied. The finish is unchanged. This is an extremely good cigar. And it's a little different from other James Brown cigars. I rated the final third 96. This is a definite must try. You can find these at Smallbatchcigar.com. All sizes are available.
