(Description taken from Cigar-coop.com website)

My Father Cigars has announced a new limited edition release off its Jaime Garcia blend, known as the Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial Sucesor 2024 Edition.

The Sucesor 2024 Edition is being released in two box-pressed sizes with one size per blend. The first is a 6 x 56 Toro that is highlighted by a Sumatra wrapper. (Reviewed today) The second is a 6 1/8 x 52 Torpedo that uses a Habano Rosado wrapper. Production comes from the My Father Cigar Cigar S.A. in EstelĂ, Nicaragua.

Both Sucesor releases are limited to 5,000 14-count boxes per size. My Father Cigars has informed retailers that pricing of the Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial Sucesor is $14.00 each.

The cigar is hefty and has a nice feel in the hand.

The test draw after cutting the cap was good. The initial flavors at light up were citrus peel, apple, brown sugar, cinnamon, and earthy leather. There was black pepper rated at 8. Pretty good start.

At the first third (27 minutes) the sweet notes are lighter. The black pepper has toned down to 7 or a little above. The cigar is smooth; it has a smoothness to it. The cigar produces a lot of smoke. The finish is leather with some sweetness and very good lingering black pepper. The cigar is medium bodied. The notes are pleasing but not great. I rated the first third 92.

As I moved through the second third (59 minutes) the cigar was about the same except there is now black coffee at the base and the black pepper is back up to 7 1/2 to 8. The cigar is medium to full bodied. The finish is unchanged. I rated the second third 92.

The cigar lasted 1 hour 27 minutes. The black coffee made a big move. There is actually more black coffee than leather and there's less earthiness. The sweet notes which consist of citrus peel and brown sugar are very light. The finish is black coffee with underlying leather and very good lingering black pepper. The cigar is full bodied. I rated the final third 90. Pretty good cigar and much better than the Habano Rosado version. These are available at Smallbatchcigar.com for $56 per 4 pack.
