The cigar is medium brown and nicely made. It has an average feel in the hand.
The test draw after cutting the cap was good with a little firmness. The initial flavors at light up were orange citrus, brown sugar, cinnamon, light toffee, and earthy black coffee. There was black pepper rated at 7 1/2. Nice start.
At the first third (20 minutes) I'm noticing this Habano is a little earthier and has more black coffee than the Spy Glass II Habano Boxpress. The notes were the same. Medium bodied. The finish is hints of citrus and brown sugar with a little thickness of toffee residue and very good lingering black pepper. I rated the first third 95.
Moving through the second third (42 minutes) the earthy black coffee has moved up. The sweet notes are still there but there is an obvious rise in earthiness and black coffee. The cigar is medium to full bodied. The finish is unchanged. I rated the second third 93.
The cigar lasted 1 hour 3 minutes. The citrus notes made a little resurgence. The earthy black coffee pulled back a little. The cigar is still medium to full bodied. The finish is unchanged. The sweet notes did not quite get back to the first third amount. I rated the final third 94. This is a good cigar but not quite as impressive as the Spy Glass 2 Habano Boxpress.
