Weekend review; May 8th and 9th, 2010

Mother's Day weekend! The weather was a bit extreme with highs on Saturday in the low 90's and Sunday in the low 70's! Quite a difference!
.
2 cigars were reviewed this weekend. They are:
  • Camacho Room 101 natural - 404
  • Mi Barrio El Billetero

Camacho Room 101 - 404 (6x54)
.
Tangy cinnamon spice with sweet citrus notes and nice pepper. The finish was long with sweet almond notes. This cigar has a much sweeter spice than other Camacho cigars. The pepper tends to linger. The cigar stayed pretty consistent. I found this to be a very enjoyable cigar. Medium to full bodied.

Mi Barrio El Billetero (belicoso) (5 3/4 x 52)
.
These are limited edition cigars created by Don Pepin Garcia featuring artwork by Edwin Gutierrez. The cigar started with intense spice and black pepper. There were semi-sweet grapefruit notes. The finish was long with sweet almond notes and a hint of vanilla. The pepper lingers. Full bodied. Leather noted. The almond notes are quite heavy in all aspects of this cigar. Black coffee noted.
