Video review HERE.

(Description taken from Tobaccobusiness.com website)
In 2017 Black Works Studio (BLK WKS) introduced two new event-exclusive cigars: Green Hornet “Kato” and Killer Bee Lonsdale. Both of these exclusive cigars are handcrafted in Esteli, Nicaragua at Fabrica Oveja Negra and are available at retailer events. (But recently they became available year round.)

“We are very excited to launch these new additions to the Killer Bee and Green Hornet lines,” said James Brown, creator of BLK WKS and owner of Fabrica Oveja Negra. “These cigars will be released as event only in very limited quantities. Both of these cigars are unique versions of the original blends and highlight the creativity of our factory. I wanted something special for our retailers who support us with events and these two cigars are exactly that.

Green Hornet “Kato” details:
Wrapper: Ecuador Maduro with a candela swirl cap and closed foot
Binder: Nicaraguan Habano
Filler: Nicaraguan
Vitola: Petite Corona (4 1/2 x 46)

The cap has several candela linear swirls.

And the foot is closed with candela tobacco.

The test draw after cutting the cap was very good even with the closed foot. The  initial flavors at light up were great; a sweet, pronounced, candy-like, tangy orange citrus, a lot of brown sugar and cinnamon, nutmeg, caramel, sweet chocolate, and an earthy black coffee. There was a nice amount of black pepper rated at 7 1/2. A very, very good start.

At the first third (18 minutes) the flavors are exactly like I initially described. The cigar is very sweet and tangy with plenty of dark sweet notes. The finish is one of chocolate, citrus, nutmeg, and brown sugar with a very nice amount of lingering black pepper. The cigar is medium bodied and I expect it to move up. The cigar has a nice balance. I rated the first third at 95.

At the second third (34 minutes) nothing has changed. It's still very sweet and dark. The cigar is consistent. The only change is there is a little more nutmeg on the finish. The lingering black pepper is still very good. The cigar is medium to full bodied. I maintained the score of 95 for the second third. Very good cigar.

The cigar lasted 48 minutes. A nice, short smoke. The fantastic flavors continued to the end. The cigar has plenty of sweetness and plenty of dark notes. I would definitely call the cigar balanced. And, it has a little power. It ended at medium to full bodied. The finish is unchanged. I was very impressed by this cigar. I held the score of 95 for the final third. Very, very good cigar.

Overall Score: 95
