(Description provided by Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust)

“The Bewitched" is an intoxicating liga of choice Nicaraguan and US Grown fillers with our exclusive Cultivo Tonto San Andreas Negro binder swaddled in a Grade 1 Ecuador Habano Seed capa. Presented in a beautiful 6 5/8 x 48 prensado vitola with a spiral colita, this cigar rewards the smoker with a beguiling smoking experience with notes of cafe, caramel, cedar, and tempered spice. It is truly an entrancing medium-plus bodied smoke, so hard to describe, yet so perfect in balance and nuance, from the moment I finished the blend I was mesmerized with it,” states DTT’s Founder & Co-Owner, Steve Saka.

Saka adds, “After over two years of waiting for the next release in our MDS series of puros, I am ecstatic to now be able to share this liga with the world. It is the perfect personification of an elegant cigar.”

“The Bewitched” is hand crafted at Joya de Nicaragua, S. A., by only the most experienced torcedors. Like all Muestra de Saka ligas, except the extremely limited production Unicorn, they are packed in individual cedar coffins within a 7-ct caja and will be $138.25 per box.

The cigar is very well made and has a sharp box press. It has an average feel in the hand.

The test draw after cutting the cap was very good. The initial flavors at light up were a cedar/citrus combination, brown sugar, citrus peel, nutmeg, and a very earthy leather. There was black pepper rated at 7. Nice flavors to start.

At the first third (34 minutes) it is obvious this cigar is a little different from the typical DB&T offering. The lead flavor is citrus peel but it's quickly followed by a cedar/citrus combination, light brown sugar, nutmeg, and an earthy leather. The black pepper seems to be moving up. I'd say it's at 7 1/2 at this point. The finish is citrus peel, nutmeg, and leather with good lingering black pepper. The cigar is medium bodied. I rated the first third 93.

Moving through the second third (1 hour 6 minutes) the cigar continued to change. At this point I had a little citrus peel, light brown sugar, nutmeg, and quite a bit of earthy leather and earthy black coffee. The finish is citrus peel and leather with very good lingering black pepper. The cigar is medium to full bodied. Notice that the cedar/citrus notes are no longer in play. I rated the second third 91.

The cigar lasted 1 hour 27 minutes. In the final third there was light citrus peel, very light brown sugar, nutmeg, quite a bit of earthy leather, and quite a bit of earthy black coffee. The finish is leather and very good lingering black pepper. The cigar is medium to full bodied. The sweetness dipped a bit more. I rated the final third 90. This cigar loses quite a bit of sweetness after the first third and it becomes quite earthy with a lot of leather and black coffee notes.

Overall Score: 91.33
