(Description taken from Halfwheel.com website)

Warped Cigars has released a new cigar line called Sky Moon that combines elements of the company’s Sky Flower and Moon Garden lines.

The company announced the new cigar via Cigar Aficionado, which reports that the cigar is a Nicaraguan puro offered in a  5 1/2 x 42 corona vitola but with a 109-style rounded head. The blend reportedly uses a shade-grown corojo 99 wrapper from Jalapa, and a filler containing corojo 99, criollo 98 and medio tiempo, with the latter coming from Jalapa. All of the tobacco reportedly comes from AGANORSA, who is said to be making the cigar at its factory in EstelĂ.

Priced at $11 per cigar, with 500 boxes of 50 cigars produced.

The cigar is nicely made and has an average feel in the hand.

The test draw after cutting the cap was a bit firm but workable. The initial flavors at light up were citrus, pear, brown sugar, cinnamon, and leather. There was black pepper rated at 7 1/2. Very good start. It reminds me of the old school Warped.

At the first third (27 minutes) I had pear for the most part, brown sugar, light cinnamon, and earthy leather. The finish is light pear and leather with very good lingering black pepper. The cigar is medium bodied, leaning toward medium to full. The cigar is very tasty. I rated the first third 94.

As I moved through the second third (51 minutes) the cigar is burning very evenly. The sweetness is ramping up. It's back to a citrus and pear along with the other notes. The cigar jumped straight to full bodied. The finish is unchanged. For such a small ring cigar it's having a very good burn time. I rated the second third 95.

The cigar lasted 1 hour 14 minutes. It has a little richness. The citrus, pear, and brown sugar have a bit of richness to them. There's still light cinnamon and the earthy leather. The cigar is full bodied. The finish is unchanged in notes but the sweetness is up. The black pepper is up to around 8+. This is a tasty cigar from Warped. Put this one on your radar. I held the score of 95.

Overall Score: 94.67
