Wrapper: Ecuadorian Maduro
Binder: Nicaraguan
Filler: Nicaraguan
That's all the information I have.
The cigar is very dark and well made. It has a nice feel in the hand.
The test draw after cutting the cap was good with a touch of firmness. The initial flavors at light up were a tangy citrus, some brown sugar, nutmeg, and black coffee. There was black pepper rated at 7 1/2. Dark start but not too bad.
At the first third (28 minutes) the citrus notes now have some citrus peel to go along with them. There is still a little brown sugar, not a lot, with a touch of nutmeg with quite a bit of black coffee and now, dark chocolate. The cigar is medium to full bodied. The finish is a little black coffee and a little dark chocolate with moderate to good lingering black pepper. The cigar is not too bad but I wish it had more of those citrus notes. I rated the first third 92.
Moving through the second third (1 hour 2 minutes) I lost the citrus notes and was left with only citrus peel with a little brown sugar. There's a little nutmeg following those and quite a bit of black coffee and dark chocolate. The black coffee and dark chocolate have become the lead flavors. The cigar is still medium to full bodied. The finish is unchanged. The lingering black pepper is now good. The loss of citrus notes hurt the cigar. I rated the second third 88.
The cigar lasted 1 hour 29 minutes. The citrus notes returned in a lesser degree which helped the cigar. There is still citrus peel, a little brown sugar, and quite a bit of black coffee and dark chocolate. I don't notice the nutmeg anymore. The strength is medium to full bodied. The finish is unchanged. The cigar made a modest improvement. I rated the final third 90. This cigar could use more citrus notes which would give it more sweetness.
