(Description provided by General Cigar)

Cohiba is expanding its critically acclaimed Serie M collection with the introduction of Reserva Azul, a small-batch, handcrafted cigar produced at El Titan de Bronze in Little Havana, Miami. This latest addition to the Serie M lineup features a Dominican Corojo wrapper, setting it apart from previous Serie M releases.

"Since its first release, Serie M has exemplified the highest level of cigar craftsmanship, and Reserva Azul is no exception," said Cohiba Brand Ambassador Sean Williams. "The exquisite tobacco, the exceptional construction, and the attention to detail that goes into every cigar reflects the passion and skill of the artisans at El Titan de Bronze. This is a cigar for those who truly appreciate a cigar rolled by masters of the craft."

The Serie M line represents Cohiba’s dedication to handcrafted excellence at the highest level, and Reserva Azul continues this tradition as the fifth in the collection. Each cigar is meticulously hand-rolled by Level 9 rollers, an elite group of artisans personally selected from the world’s finest cigar factories to work at El Titan de Bronze.

Every Serie M cigar has been crafted at El Titan de Bronze. The first three iterations were known simply as Serie M, while 2024’s Serie M Reserva Roja introduced an updated blend and new packaging.

Reserva Azul’s blend includes:

Wrapper: Dominican Corojo

Binder: Nicaraguan EstelĂ

Filler: Nicaraguan Jalapa Viso & Ligero, Nicaraguan EstelĂ, Dominican Piloto Cubano

Serie M Reserva Azul is a limited release, available in a Toro (6 X 52) vitola. Each cigar is presented in a 10-count box and has an MSRP of $29.99.

The cigar is nicely made and has a nice feel in the hand. The foot is closed.

The test draw after cutting the cap was blocked by the closed foot. After lighting the draw opened up nicely. The initial flavors at light up were lime, brown sugar, plum, and earthy black coffee. There was black pepper rated at 7 1/2 to 8 initially. Pretty good start.

At the first third (41 minutes) the cigar is burning very slowly and evenly. The notes are about the same but the cigar has gotten very earthy. It developed earthiness from the light up to now and that earthiness is holding the cigar back. The cigar is medium to full bodied. The finish is plum with very good lingering black pepper. The cigar has nice notes but a little too much earthiness. I rated the first third 93.

As I moved through the second third (1 hour 26 minutes) I don't think a single thing has changed. Same notes, same strength, same finish. The cigar is consistent. I held the score of 93.

The cigar lasted 2 hours 11 minutes. A very good burn time. In the final third not much changed. The earthiness seemed to drop back somewhat but not enough to move the needle. Everything else remained unchanged. I held the score of 93. This is a pretty good cigar. It burns very slowly and very evenly. At the $29.99 price point you'll have to decide if you want to give it a try but if you do I think you'll like it.

Overall Score: 93
