Aganorsa Leaf is proud to announce a new vitola of Supreme Leaf—one of our most exciting and sought-after cigars ever produced—will be coming to retailers in early 2025. Using the same blend of entirely Aganorsa Leaf tobaccos grown on our farms in Nicaragua and packed in the same vibrant colors as the original production, Supreme Leaf’s latest release will debut in a 5.5 x 52 Royal Perfecto.
“Demand for Supreme Leaf continues to grow and we are committed to releasing the same incredible blend in a new format with each release to showcase how each size creates a unique experience,” states Terence Reilly, who serves as Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “The last Supreme Leaf Perfecto we launched in 2023 was a massive hit because of the distinctive complexity of flavor and aroma the tapered form offered. Our Aganorsa Acolytes consistently have requested the same special experience this perfecto offered but in a shorter Format. We listened and this elegant cigar delivers a subtle and focused first third, with the narrowed foot slowing airflow, followed by a rich and full- bodied middle third as the cigar reaches its widest point before tapering back down during the final third, the flavors concentrating again.”
Packaged in boxes of 10, Aganorsa Leaf Supreme Leaf Royal Perfecto will consist of 2500 boxes and will be available for retailers to order in January. MSRP will be listed at $14.
The cigar is well made and looks impressive. It has an average feel in the hand.
The test draw after cutting the cap was good considering the small opening at the foot. The initial flavors at light up were a nice citrus/cedar mix, a lot of brown sugar, cinnamon, sweet nougat, and leather. The leather is the lightest of the notes. There was black pepper rated at 7 1/2. Very nice start.
At the first third (32 minutes) the leather has risen a little but that's ok because it was light at the light up. The same notes are in play. The cigar is very sweet. The nougat is very noticeable. The cigar is medium to full bodied. The finish is leather with very good lingering black pepper. I reviewed the Perfecto that was released in early 2024 and that cigar got a score of 91.67. That cigar was a 6 x 54 Perfecto. At this point this Royal Perfecto is much better. Perhaps the smaller ring is the reason. We'll see how this cigar plays out. I rated the first third 95.
As I moved through the second third (57 minutes) there was a little black coffee that entered the picture. It's enough to hold down the intense sweetness that was present in the first third. The cigar is now full bodied. The finish is unchanged. I rated the second third 94. It's still quite good.
The cigar lasted 1 hour 26 minutes. The black coffee that was there in the second third didn't stick around. It's now gone and the sweet notes can once again shine. The cigar is full bodied and the finish is unchanged. This Royal Perfect is much better than the original Perfecto. I rated the final third 95. This is another great addition to the Supreme Leaf portfolio.
